Marketing this film as a romantic comedy is like marketing Fargo as a thriller or Royal Tenenbaums as a drama, it's how marketing works and perhaps it's a good movie since those are the kind of films you can't market otherwise unless you want a box-office , regardless it's indeed a film made for romantic comedy audience but not to warm their hearts.

If I was me I'd market it as a cartoon, Cinematographically it just feels like one , a Grim Fandango kind of cartoon, ohh well..lets keep it a mystery..

At times you'll find a dull moment or scene , but this moment/scene are there to be educational , anyone who knows what educational is will realize how intentional this dullness is .. much like About Schmidt which's not a bad film but it's just so intolerably intenerating for most of it's runtime due to it's educational nature, and when I say educational it might be a contrary to school kind of "dilatational" ..so to anyone who hasn't planned what he/she'll be doing the next 50 years and how it'll be enjoyed afterwards might find something that will surprise them there and ruin their hopes ,for many it won't surprise or have any interest at all.

Here those intentionally dull moments will have a more attracting texture and you might even have a laugh while the general public tries to find them "meaningful" n' "sad" ... ahh the good times.

Say what you want about George Clooney , but I say he makes the character in most of where he's a character in , maybe not good for drama (not because of he's acting abilities but because his funny face) he's a great comical actor.

I know that I enjoyed the musical score alot too but none of the melodies were memorable but fitting the situation pretty well ,there's so much more about it not mentioning the opneing credit sequence and some twistedly great scenes.

This is a fun film and if you like cartoons involving crazy scientists and other twisted depthless characters it's a film you'd enjoy, a film about a wife.
