Bill'u Arigatu!
Good things come to those who wait , they also come to
those who don't and those who do not know? they get the shit; this
principle is not necessarily true to watching kill bill or watching in general
but it's something I had to lay off.
This is a Fourth film, This is a half film and thefore
this is a half review, probably the bigger half.
The Truth: Everything I had to
say about Roger Averys' 'Rules
of Attraction' I've got to say about Tarantino's latest project, Although in
this case I could summon it in less words and a more widely open trap.
Every refreshing breath that was required to make
an action flick work again was breathed in, it turns you on as it turned you on
when yer friends were lil' and practiced kicks on your brother, when films
Starring uncle Lee actually starred him directly instead of showing a footage of
a footaged footage.
Is it an action flick .. It's, it's also so much
more .
The Truth is no words
Kill Bill is a celebration of all the kung-fu ,
exploitation, western and noir goodness , it's the best film John Carpenter
never made and despite maybe the limited amount of hand-to-hand combat there's
nothing I can complain about ,although I'm pretty sure we'll see more of the
great hand-to-hand goodies in Vol.2.
If in the recent years there was a movie which left
more lasting impression on me after the lights turned on it was Mullholand
drive, and mullholand drive didn't have me waiting for the second part or
jumping in a circular direction with my foot facing forward.
I can't judge if splitting the thing into two
volumes did much good , but I can assure you that the joy Vol.1 can bring
to some will be overwhelming.
If there's something I'm really looking forward to
see Vol.2 must be it.
